The Common Room with SMA
(A platform where people, ideas & possibilities meet)

Interesting people. Unfinished ideas. No telling what happens next.

The Common Room brings curious people together to think out loud, discover new perspectives, make meaningful connections and explore what becomes possible when different worlds meet.

Our Story
(01 · Introduction)

What happens when people find each other?

Sometimes, a conversation opens a door. An idea finds the people it needs. Two people discover they should be building something together.

Sometimes, nothing needs to happen immediately. It's enough to encounter a different perspective or leave with something new to think about.

We're interested in all of it. And in creating more opportunities for it to happen.

Marvellous Sunmiboye, Founder of The Common Room

“Sometimes what you need isn't another lecture. It's a room where you can drop the performance and just think out loud.”

Marvellous Sunmiboye — Founder, The Common Room

What Happens When Different Worlds Meet

We spend so much time curating circles that mirror our assumptions. But the encounters that truly shift our thinking happen when we share space with people whose frameworks are completely unlike our own.
